For customers

Find your photographer by their work

You choose the photos you love before you know who took them. Try a round before you make an account, then sign up to see who you picked.

  1. Pick what you need

Choose up to three kinds of photography and a round of 50 or 100 photos from photographers near you, with a budget if you have one. If nobody nearby shoots what you need yet, we’ll tell you when someone starts.

  2. Swipe blind

Right to pick, left to pass. Names stay hidden until the round ends, so you’re judging the work and nothing else.

  3. Super Pick the standouts

Swipe up on a photo you love, up to 3 a round. It adds that photographer to Your Picks straight away and brings more of their work into the round.

  4. See who you picked

When the round ends, the photographers you picked most are revealed.

  5. Your Picks

Pick 3 photos from the same photographer, across any of your rounds, and they join Your Picks. Then message them to book.

Free for customers. Nothing to unlock.

For photographers

Get chosen for your work

Customers near you swipe through photos without knowing who took them. No names, no follower counts. Just the work.

More for photographers
  1. Build your portfolio

Up to 25 photos in each specialty you shoot, from your phone or from your computer with a link we email you. Your own work, without watermarks. Pin up to 3 per specialty to always lead your rounds.

  2. Customers swipe blind

Your photos are dealt into rounds for customers within the area you say you’ll travel, and during the beta to customers anywhere who choose to search that far. They pick or pass without seeing your name.

  3. Get picked

When a customer picks 3 of your photos, or Super Picks one, you’re picked, and you’re notified.

  4. Talk and book

Message the customers who picked you. Set a starting price for each specialty so customers searching with a budget can find you.

  5. Share your page

Claim your own page at pickmephoto.com/yourname, showing the photos you choose, and share it wherever you already post.

Price

Freeduring the beta

No charge for photographers while PickMe Photo is in beta. After the beta it’s $24.99 a month to stay in rounds, starting with 30 days free, and we’ll give you plenty of notice before that changes. Pause for up to six months, or cancel, from the app whenever you like.

Invite another photographer with your code. When they upload their first photo, you each get a month free, counted after the beta.

What you see

  • Pick rate for every photo: how often it gets picked when it’s seen.
  • Which photos won you customers, and which are holding you back.
  • How your work compares with photographers nearby.
  • How many rounds customers are running near you.

What you don’t pay

  • No commission. Bookings and payment are between you and your client.
  • No fee per pick or per message.

Judged on the work

Most ways of finding a photographer reward whoever is best at being found.

Follower counts, reviews, ads and word of mouth all say something, but none of it is the photo. In a round, none of it shows. A photographer who started last spring gets the same frame as one with fifty thousand followers.

You find out who you picked only after you’ve picked. Photographers find out what their work does on its own, and customers who wouldn’t have scrolled far enough to find them get to see it.
