TERMS OF SERVICE

What Pick Me Photo is

Pick Me Photo introduces photographers to people looking to hire one. Customers review local work without seeing who shot it; liking enough photographs from the same photographer creates a match and opens a conversation.

We are an introduction service. Any booking, shoot, payment or agreement between a photographer and a customer is between the two of them. We are not a party to it, we do not vet or endorse anyone, and we are not responsible for the work delivered or the conduct of either side.

Your account

You need an account to use the app, and you must be at least 13 years old. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

Photographs and content

You keep the rights to everything you upload. By uploading, you give us permission to display it inside the app to the people the app is designed to show it to.

Only upload work you took or have the right to use. Do not upload anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break this.

Prices

Prices photographers enter are indicative starting prices to help customers find suitable work. They are not quotes and are not binding on either side.

Subscriptions

Photographers get a free 30-day trial, which starts when they upload their first photograph rather than when they sign up. After it, a subscription is required to keep appearing in customers' rounds and to add new photographs. Existing portfolios, matches and conversations remain accessible.

A photographer who joins with another photographer's referral code, and then uploads their first photograph, earns both of them a free month: added to the trial if it is still running, or otherwise credited against the next subscription payment. A referral code can be used once, only when signing up, and not with your own code. Credits have no cash value.

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew until cancelled. Cancel any time from the billing portal in the app; access continues to the end of the paid period. We do not refund part-used months.

Reporting and blocking

You can report a photograph or a person, and block someone, from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content or accounts.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We ask for your password to confirm it is you. Your account stops appearing to other people immediately, and we keep the data for 45 days in case you change your mind — sign back in within that time and you can cancel. After that it is erased.

Conversations you have already had are kept, with your name and photo removed, because they belong to the person you were talking to as well.

Deleting your account stops your subscription renewing. You are not charged again, and you keep what you have already paid for until that period runs out. If you cancel the deletion within the 45 days, the subscription carries on as before.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Pausing instead

Photographers can pause a membership rather than end it. Everything stays where it is — portfolio, matches, conversations, prices — and billing stops while you are paused.

While paused you do not appear in anyone's round, and you cannot upload, edit or send messages. Resume whenever you like; billing starts again from the next cycle.

A pause lasts up to six months. We will warn you in the app 30 days and 7 days before it ends. If you have not resumed by then we delete your photographs and their analytics — your profile, account, matches and conversations stay, and you can upload again whenever you come back. We do this because a pause costs nothing and we do not store portfolios indefinitely for accounts that are not in use.

The legal part

The service is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything arising out of dealings between photographers and customers.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
